Brief History

Jack Vanderboom of Dousman, WI started his racing career in 2010 at the age of 6. His first foray into racing was behind the wheel of a Go-Kart at the Badger Kart Club in his hometown of Dousman. This started as a way for Jack and his father Rick to spend time together, but quickly grew into an obsession for the pair. Jack competed at the Badger Kart Club from 2010 to 2012, and in that time earned multiple feature wins en route to finishing in the top 10 in points for all three of those seasons. It was on track at the Badger Kart Club that Jack learned the principles of dedication, perseverance and humility.

It was the principles learned at the Badger Kart Club that helped Jack and his father decide to move up into the world of Dirt Track Racing at the Beaver Dam Raceway in 2013. In this move to the dirt, Jack found his niche. By his second season in 2014, Jack was crowned Jr. Sprint Track Champion and followed that up with a Runner Up Points finish in 2015.

2016 would be another pivotal year for Jack. At the age of 12, Jack moved up once again into the Badger 600cc Micro Sprint division. Racing at tracks all around Wisconsin, Jack adapted incredibly quickly, finishing 6th in points in his first season, all while racing against competitors significantly older than himself. He followed his rookie season up with a 2nd place points finish in 2017, and finally a Badger Micro Sprint Championship in 2018.

In 2019, Jack once again made the decision to move up the dirt racing ladder. This time, to the 600 horsepower methanol monsters that are Winged 360 Sprint Cars. Racing in a field that averages over 30 competitors a night, Jack made a strong bid for Rookie of the Year in 2019, just losing out to former IMCA Sport Mod Champion Brandon Berth for the title. Jack also tallied his first career podium in his rookie year, running 2nd to Sprint Car legend Jim Melis at Plymouth. In 2020, Jack continued to improve and compete for wins, finishing 2nd twice, this time to 4 time Midwest Sprint Car Association Champion Brandon McMullen. Jack also has multiple Heat Race and B Main victories to his credit up to this point in his career. In 2021, Jack amassed 19 Top 15’s, 16 Top 10’s, 4 Top 5’s, 6 Heat Race Wins, 2 A Main Wins and finished 11th in MSA 360 Points out of 33 Full Time Competitors.
